Adrian Russell Lee 1921 – 2007
Adrian Russell Lee, longtime resident of Wagoner, died on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the age of 85.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Bill Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow at the Pioneer Cemetery.
Adrian was born to John “Tom” and Bessie Lee in Farmington, Arkansas on November 27, 1921. Adrian served in the United States Army for over three years during WWII. He married Frances (Neal) Lee in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 16, 1946 and they have shared sixty loving years. Adrian was a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge # 425 and was a former member of the Rod & Gun Club of Tulsa. He was a current member of the VFW Post # 1199 in Wagoner.
Adrian owned and operated the Speedometer Service in Tulsa from 1948 to 1968.
After he closed his shop he began working in sales for Radio, Incorporated in Tulsa and retired in 1984 after 18 years. He was a avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially his hunting trips to Colorado. Adrian loved to spend time with his family especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, son; Monte Lee and two brothers; Clarence and Harold Lee.
He is survived by his wife “Frankie” of the home daughter; Rhonda Slayton and her husband Donald of St. Louis, MO, two sisters; Doris Bolinger and her husband Sonny of Wagoner and Joyce Lee of Paradise, CA. Two grandchildren; Brandi Smagge and Ryan Robinson, two great-grandchildren; Trey Smagge and Rylee Robinson, other family members and friends.
