Funeral services for Opal Mae Brown, 90, of Fort Gibson, OK will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2007 at Calvary Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Don Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Berry Bargas, Tony Lott, Cody Babb, Chris Lashley, Jarred Lynch and Michael Livingston. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.
Mrs. Brown was born January 3, 1917 at San Bernardino, CA. the daughter of Walter Franklin and Gladys (Reeves) Walden and died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Fort Gibson. On December 31, 1937 she married Son Brown in Fort Gibson. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2002. She was a homemaker, helped with the family dairy and a resident of the area most of her life. She was a member of the Community Gospel Church. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and grandmother.
