Published February 23, 2007 02:04 pm - Anderson, Frank Allen Frank Allen Anderson 1936-2007 Frank Allen Anderson passed from this life Sunday, January 14, 2007 in Muskogee at 70 years of age. He was born December 22, 1936 in the Ryder Mountain Community of Cherokee County to Willis Allen Anderson and Rhoda Almus (Howe) Anderson. Frank grew up in Ryder Mountain Community and moved to Muskogee in 1951 graduating from Muskogee High School in 1955. After high school, Frank began working in the carpentry and construction industry. He met and married Ruth Patricia Daniels while working in construction in Florida and they were married March 8, 1958. Of their marriage, three children were born, Debra, Donna and Delores. Frank later began a 9 year career at Brockway Glass, moved to New Jersey where he worked in the construction industry then he moved back and was employed by Muskogee Lumber. He retired as a welder from ACME Engineering and Manufacturing after a 27 year career in 2001. Frank’s wife, Ruth Anderson passed away in 1992 and he married Carolyn (Taylor) Cunningham on September 11, 1992 in Ft. Smith. He was a member of the NRA and of the Baptist faith and was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Frank was also a member of the United States National Guard from 1957 until 1965 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, shooting guns, gardening and handcrafts, including making knives. He also liked to cook and was famous for his chili and barbeque. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Willis “Andy” and Rhoda “Almus” Anderson, his first wife, Ruth (Daniels) Anderson, a grandchild and a great grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Taylor) Anderson; 4 daughters, Debra Hinkle, Donna Alday, Delores McFarland and Candace Cunningham; 2 sons, Rick Murry and Ray Cunningham; a brother, Billy Joe Anderson; 3 half sisters, Willa Dean Ketcher, Linda Campbell and Mary Owens; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and numerous extended relatives and friends. Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2007 at Reed Culver Chapel with Bro. Wendell Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery. Pallbearers include Frank’s grandsons: James Allen Hinkle, Martin Alday, Patrick McFarland, William Murphy, Alan Murphy and Michael McFarland. Honorary pallbearers also include Frank’s grandsons: Chris McFarland, Johnathan McFarland, Jamie Murry, Richard Murry and John Boeken.
