Clyde M. Wells 1939-2007
Clyde M. Wells, 67, of Muskogee passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007. He was born on January 31, 1939 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to James Melvin and Louise (Daniel) Wells.
Mr. Wells was born and raised in Guthrie. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy on July 8, 1957 and was honorably discharged on June 26, 1959. During his time in the Navy, Clyde married Kathryn Nakvinda on July 19, 1958. After completing his two years of service, he began his career with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. This was a career that spanned twenty-eight years. Clyde loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He loved playing chase with them. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Wells is survived by his mother, Louise Wells; his wife, Kathryn of the home; three children, Cheryl Moore and husband Terry of Fort Gibson, Nancy Sheffield and husband David of Fort Gibson, Teresa Jackson and husband Shawn of Muskogee; seven grandchildren, Deborah Criner and husband David, Terri Bolding and husband Stephen, Jessica Sheffield, Brian Sheffield, Katherine Jackson, Erica Jackson and Heather Jackson; three sisters, Carolyn Howe, Wanda Doggett and Linda Conwell.
A celebration of Clyde Wells life will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Kevin Kellogg and Glenn Rowan officiating.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
