Marion Georgia Hooker 1924-2007

Marion Georgia Hooker, 82, of Fort Gibson passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 18,1924 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Arthur and Ruby (Shoemaker) Furqueron.
Although Marion was born in Sapulpa, she was raised in Texarkana, Arkansas. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sears before moving to Fort Gibson in 1976. In 1977 she retired from Sears. During her retirement Marion loved to keep up with current events, work crossword puzzles and was an artist.
Mrs. Hooker is survived by her husband, Charles, one daughter, Ruby Gayle Cates and husband John of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son, A. G. “Butch” Hensley of Gilbert, Arizona; two stepsons, Jerry Don Hooker and wife Peggy and Charles Ray Hooker and wife Leslie; one stepdaughter, Debbie Malone and husband Brad; two grandchildren, John Cates and wife Lana and Robert Cates and wife Candy; two great-grandchildren, Katie Cates and Cole Cates and nine step grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Three Rivers Cemetery with Ronnie Pugh officiating.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Fort Gibson with the arrangements.
