A Muskogee Police officer directs traffic around a two-car accident at U.S. 69 at Hancock Street shortly after 4 p.m. Friday. Muskogee Police Officer Kalyssa Holland said a Ford Escape driven by Luke Dennis, 24, of Muskogee was going north on U.S. 69 when it hit the back of a Chevrolet HHR driven by Lizzie Lowe, 50, of Checotah around 4 p.m. Friday. Lowe was stopped at a traffic light at Hancock Street, Holland said. Holland said seat belts were in use in both cars, and Dennis was cited for following too close.
