BREAKING NEWS: Amber Alert issued out of Cherokee County
An Amber Alert has been issued in Cherokee County for a missing boy.
Sheriff's Investigator Gary Cacy said 3-year-old Kegan Manning was taken from his mother Tabor at about 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
The mother claimed her estranged husband John Michael Manning surrounded her vehicle with three cars, slashed all four of her tires and took Kegan at knifepoint, Cacy said.
Tabor Manning was also forced to sign over a handwritten custody agreement, Cacy said.
Investigators were able to track the father's cell phone in the Tulsa area. Cacy said the Tulsa Police Department is currently searching for the boy and his father.
In reaction to a broadcast telling of the alert, John Manning again called the mother and threatened to leave the state, Cacy said.
Kegan Manning was las seen wearing a Tazmanian Devil T-Shirt and blue pants with an orange stripe. He's about three feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds.
An Amber Alert broadcast said John Manning is driving a white 2000 Pontiac.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cherokee County Sheriff at (918) 456-2583.
