BREAKING NEWS: One hurt in shooting on Seventh Street

Muskogee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of North Seventh and Market streets.

Deputy Chief Reggie Cotton said police believe there is one victim, whose condition is unknown at this time.

The shooting appears to have occured in the street, and police have a two-block area marked off.

The Early Childhood Center is on lockdown, Muskogee Public Schools Public Relations Coordinator Wendy Burton said. Muskogee Public Schools will announce when the lockdown has been lifted.
