Authorities release identity of body

State investigators released the identity of a man found dead inside a vehicle parked near Northeastern State University’s football stadium.

The body of Anthony George Scott, 48, of Tahlequah was found Sunday afternoon, according to a media release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

It’s not clear whether Scott had any affiliation with NSU. The OSBI is investigating this death as suspicious, the release stated.

Scott’s body was found in a vehicle parked in a parking lot near Grand Avenue by Doc Wadley Stadium.

A call at approximately 4:15 p.m. Sunday reported the body, according to the OSBI.
