BREAKING NEWS: Arrest made in death of McIntosh County woman

An arrest has been made in the shooting death of Deborah Kathryn Kelso, 57, according to a media release from the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

Kelso was found dead on Aug. 14, inside her home near Checotah. The house had been set on fire.

At approximately 11 a.m. today, Steven Lee Vanzant, 53, was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder and booked into the McIntosh County Criminal Justice Center on $2 million bond.
