CPAs earn recognition from state society

— The Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants released the names of the 2014 Trailblazers in conjunction with a special issue of the society’s magazine.

The program, established in 2010, is to recognize the innovation, dedication and community commitment of the OSCPA’s “New CPAs,” defined as members who are under the age of 40 or have five or fewer years of CPA experience.

• Melanie Warren, CPA, is a corporate accounting manager with Samson Resources Corporation in Tulsa. Warren grew up and recently moved back to Porter. She is the treasurer on the board of directors for the Kelly B. Todd Cerebral Palsy and Neuromuscular Center in Muskogee.

• Carla Meyer, CPA, is an audit manager with Eide Bailly, LLP, in Tulsa. She grew up in Webbers Falls, and has been active with the Muskogee Free Clinic.

• Rodney England, CPA, CGMA, is a tax manager with Peters & Chandler, P.C., in Oklahoma City, and his hometown is Fort Gibson.
