Published April 26, 2008 09:01 pm - The Todds celebrate 60th anniversary today Jason and Bettye Todd of Fort Gibson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. today, April 27, 2008, with a drop-in reception at New Life Center in Muskogee. In lieu of gifts, friends and family are asked to bring a memory or a copy of a treasured photograph to share.
Jason and Bettye were married in Fort Gibson on April 30, 1948, and have lived most of their lives there. They are retired from Muskogee County, District 1. After only weeks of retirement, he returned to work, for Indian Capital Vo-Tech where he is still employed. Bettye has logged many hours as a volunteer for the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Medical Center. They are members of New Life Center Church. He is a charter member of the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Patrol. They have one daughter, Janell Arndt, and husband, Tom, of Muskogee. Grandchildren are Julia Arndt of Muskogee, and David and Sarah Arndt of Wagoner. Great-grandchildren are Joshua and Rachel Arndt of Wagoner. Extended family includes Ron and Cheryl Garrett of Fort Gibson, Ronnie and Stephanie Garrett of Boynton, Jon and Sarah A. Garrett of Fort Gibson and Sarah E. Garrett of Fort Gibson.
