Thomas, Karo prepare for ceremony on May 3

Misty Ann Thomas and Zachary Karo, both of Tulsa, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
A ceremony is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the courtyard of Dresser Mansion in Tulsa with the Rev. Jack Carner officiating. A reception hosted by the bride-elect’s parents and the prospective groom’s parents will immediately follow.
Misty is the daughter of John and Mary Thomas of Gore and granddaughter of the late Hamer D. and Flora Jefcoat of Lyon, Miss., and Melvin and Dorothy Thomas of Gore. She is the sister of Jim and Kim Thomas of Gore and the aunt of Peyton and Brady Thomas, also of Gore.
A 2000 graduate of Gore High School, Misty Ann will graduate in December from Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow with a degree in accounting. She is employed in the accounting department of Duffens Optical in Tulsa.
Zachary is the son of Don and Priscilla Karo of Tulsa and the grandson of the late Irving and Roselyn Karo of New York, and the late Priscilla Gove Farnham and Frank Affled of New Jersey. He is the brother of Gibby and Kasey Karo of Broken Arrow and the uncle of Mariah and Gideon Karo, also of Broken Arrow.
A 1996 graduate of Jenks High School, Zachary graduated in 2001 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater with a degree in marketing. He is employed as manager of Petco in Tulsa. After a wedding trip to the Caribbean island, Antigua, the couple will reside in Tulsa.
