Doyle and Evelyn Stiles celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 29, 2013, with their children at their daughter’s home in Muskogee.
On August 29, 1963, at 12:10 a.m., Doyle Stiles and Evelyn Warrick repeated their vows and were united in holy matrimony at the pastor’s home in Muskogee.
After 38 years of service with the VARO, VAMC, GSA and finally the VAMC again, Doyle retired only to start his own business, Grandpa’s Workshop. He has worked for Muskogee Metal Door and MMD Wholesale for the last 19 years. Evelyn has been a homemaker most of their married life.
They have three daughters, Beverly Stanfill and her husband Lamon of Braggs, Cyndi Frnklin and her husband Jim of Fresno, CA, and Angela McCoy and her husband Kevin of Muskogee. Eight grandchildren, Tiffany Mackey; Dustin Stanfill; Jessica, Nathan, and James Franklin; and Taylor, Chelsea, and Courtney McCoy. Six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Madison and Ramie Mackey; Wrangler and Tracker Stanfill; and Ethan Franklin.
