Published July 19, 2008 05:29 pm - No to four-day work week The Oklahoma Public Employees Association is calling for a four-day work week to save its members money, in part because they didn’t get a raise they wanted.
We sympathize with needing to save money, but degrading the services for which the public employs them isn’t the way to do it — it’s already hard enough to get information from state agencies without losing a workday. Everyone else has to work five days, and they’re facing the same financial pressures in the slowing economy.
