As we celebrate the Christmas season, we must remember there are many who go without during this festive time.
That’s where many area non-profit organizations step in. This is their busiest time of year as they make sure those who are less fortunate will have a better holiday season.
And we can help those organizations help those in need.
Even if you can’t afford to give money, we all can afford to give our time to any of the organizations.
The Salvation Army, for example, has many opportunities — from their annual kettle drive, to the Angel Tree and helping with the distribution of food and gifts.
Making a difference to someone in need is far more rewarding than opening a present on Christmas.
The need is great.
Pitch in and help.
