February 12, 2009 06:53 pm

John Fite will release a new CD, “The Love of My Life,” Saturday.
This collection of piano tunes begin with a classic “Misty” and includes other standards, “Over the Rainbow,” “Unchained Melody” and “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.”
One original, “Renee’s Song,” is jazzier and was written for his wife, Renee Fite.
“The collection also features a fun version of ‘Pretty Woman’ with surprise ending, and a favorite movie theme, ‘An Affair to Remember,’” Renee Fite said.
The three-event release celebration of his third CD begins with a pre-release party from 7 to 10 p.m. today at the Saddle Club in Muskogee featuring Fite on piano, joined by Brett Fitzgerald on drums.
They’ll return the following Feb. 21 with Craig Morgan and his three daughters, Dusty, Lacy and Chelsea singing backup.
Fite will perform from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday from his eclectic repertoire from love songs to TV theme tunes at N’Tune Music in Tahlequah.
The Saturday evening party will be at the new Ozarks Garden Restaurant in downtown Westville. For sweetheart dinner reservations, call Patsy Winn at 723-5151.
All three of Fite’s CDs, “Everlasting Life,” the Christmas “Light and Life” and “Love of My Life” will be available.
