Roger Lee and Theresa (Terri) Smithling Schon celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a party held in their honor on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Country Cottage in Locust Grove with friends and relatives attending.
They were married May 1, 1983, at the Episcopal Church in Lincoln, Neb. Since their move to Pryor, the couple has become members of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
While in Nebraska, Roger retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., after 20 years of service. Terri retired from the Southeast Community College after 11 years. Shortly after the couple’s move to Pryor, Terri chose to return to work. She retired seven years later after working as a certified nurses aid with two residential homes, Cottage on Willow Road and Colonial House. The couple have an adopted daughter, Joyce Lynn. From a previous marriage, Roger has two daughters, Kathleen and Colleen, and two sons, Lee and Troy. They also have 14 grandchildren.
