The Mole reveals all in his book on the hit reality TV series, “The Mole II.”
Intellect Publishing of Redmond, Wash., announces the release of “Reflections of The Mole” by Bill McDaniel based on his experiences of being chosen to be the Mole on the reality TV series, “The Mole II.”
Using extensive notes taken during the show, he brings a unique perspective and timeline of events including never before released contestant interactions and behind the scenes subterfuge, the publishing company reported in a media release.
He blends the way the producers and fellow contestants used different strategies — including what they thought and why they acted the way they did — with what was actually seen by the viewers on the hit television show.
McDaniel is a medical doctor and retired rear admiral, a job he confesses did not prepare him for the future job of misleading and sabotaging people. His writing style is witty, cogent and humorous, while maintaining the tension of what happened next. Early reviews have been favorable from fans of the show (over 8 million viewers) as well as non-fans.
The book also includes chapters on his growing up in rural Oklahoma, and how his family, friends and events during that time influenced his strategies on “The Mole II.”
“I had the greatest and most challenging time of my life on the show, and I wanted to convey those feelings and experiences to the reader,” McDaniel said.
“Bill has a unique voice, one that connects with everyone who has read the book,” relates John Woods, CEO of Intellect Publishing. “I hadn’t watched the show, and yet as I read the manuscript I felt as if I were an intimate part of the entire season. I am very proud of what Bill has accomplished.”
ABC is completing the next Mole show and it is scheduled to be released in summer of 2008. Many fans have already pre-ordered the book in hopes of getting an insight into the show to help them unravel the next Mole.
The book is available at the official Web site: www.TheMoleBook.com, and if ordered through the site will be signed by the author. It also will be available soon through Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
