BEE A BUSY BEE-DZ STRINGER, Summer Bead Camp, 10:30 a.m. Mondays for those 6 to 10 years; 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays for those 11 years and up; June and July, Busy Bee-dz, 401 W. Broadway, ShadowWood Mall. Cost: $11 per week or pay for the summer and get two weeks free. Fee includes bead box and materials to complete a new project each week. Classes limited to 15. SUMMER IN THE CITY, all day childcare, daily to Aug. 22, God’s Desire Learning Center, 410 Girard St., across from Sadler Arts Academy. The summer program is for ages 5 to 12. It will include field trips, arts and crafts, Bible lessons, online tutoring compatible with Muskogee Public Schools, health and nutrition classes, free college tuition sign-up, outdoor activities, piano lessons, computer classes and lab, motivational speakers etc. Instructors: Edwyna Brown, Eugene Brown, Bernice Kirts and Jocelyn Robinson. CHEROKEE NATION ARTS INSTITUTE SUMMER CAMP, July 13 to 19, Sequoyah High School campus. The camp is a one-week intensive hands-on arts camp for students entering eighth grade through graduating seniors. Participants will have the opportunity to study a broad list of classes that include basketry and weaving, pottery, drawing and painting, video, photography, acting, singing, dance, storytelling, drumming and traditional Cherokee crafts such as carving and bow making. Available to students who are Cherokee citizens and is free to attend. Dorm rooms are available and meals will be provided.
