SUMMER IN THE CITY, all day childcare, daily to Aug. 22, God’s Desire Learning Center, 410 Girard St., across from Sadler Arts Academy. The summer program is for ages 5 to 12. YOUNG FILMMAKERS CAMP, hosted by Darkwood Film Arts Institute, 1 to 5 p.m. July 7 to 18, Mondays through Fridays, 401 W. Broadway, Suite 308. The camp for youth ages 10 to 15. CHEROKEE NATION ARTS INSTITUTE SUMMER CAMP, July 13 to 19, Sequoyah High School campus. The camp is a one-week intensive hands-on arts camp for students entering eighth grade through graduating seniors. Participants will have the opportunity to study a broad list of classes that include basketry and weaving, pottery, drawing and painting, video, photography, acting, singing, dance, storytelling, drumming and traditional Cherokee crafts such as carving and bow making. Available to students who are Cherokee citizens and is free to attend. Dorm rooms are available and meals will be provided.
