Kids learn rocket science (includes VIDEO) By Cathy SpauldingPhoenix Staff Writer The bottles were filled partly with water, then compressed air was pumped into them. A latch was pulled, then, WHOOSH!, the bottles flew into the air. The air pressure propelled the bottles skyward.
Clovis said one bottle flew about 250 feet.
