Kiwanis Club
Larry Hoffman will speak on Heifer International when the Muskogee Kiwanis Club meets at noon Tuesday at Church Central, 1801 Baltimore.

Green Country Duplicate Bridge Club
Three ACBL-sanctioned games are offered each week by the Green Country Duplicate Bridge Club. All games are held at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers are welcome at all games.
Schedule for this week:
• Monday — 12:30 p.m., open game.
• Wednesday — 12:30 p.m., game restricted to players with fewer than 300 master points.
• Friday — 12:30 p.m., open game.

New Friends
Muskogee New Friends Plain Talk group will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sav-A-Lot to car pool to Fin and Feather.
Charlene Pickett will be the host for the scenic drive. The group needs 20 to attend to have the buffet at noon. If there are not that many, members will order from the menu. Cost for the buffet is $9.60, which includes tax and tip.
If you plan to play games, bring four foursome. Bring pennies to chip in on gas.
Call Pickett at 687-5895 to make reservations by Monday.
The Cards and Games group will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Martha’s Market, Fourth and Denison streets.

Books Sandwiched-In
Connie Stout will review “The Days We Dance, The Story of My Theatrical Family from Florenz Ziegfeld to Arthur Murray and Beyond” by Doris Eaton Travis when Muskogee Public Library’s Books Sandwiched-In program meets at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Stout, retired teacher, is a native Oklahoman graduating from high school in Sapulpa. She received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in history from the University of Oklahoma. She taught at Norman West Mid-High School, Duncan High School, Muskogee West Junior High School and completed 28 years of teaching at Fort Gibson High School.
She is a consultant for McDougal Littell, the secondary schools division of Houghton Mifflin Publishing Co. She spends her time reading, traveling, playing bridge and singing in the choir at St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is married to local attorney, Weldon Stout. They have a son, Justin, who is married to Shelly, and they have two grandsons.
A sandwich lunch with dessert and drink is served for $2 at 11:30 a.m. with the review at noon. Guests are welcome. A business meeting will follow.
