Published September 17, 2008 08:14 pm - Show Biz dancers roll Lisa Logan, owner/director of Show Biz Dance Studio in Muskogee, announces the outstanding achievement of a dance group taught and choreographed by instructor Kira Abbott.
The dance group known as, “Tootsie Roll,” competed at Stage One Productions Regional Finals in Tulsa. The four-member group was honored with the following awards; first place trophy in the teen age division for small group/clog dance. They also received a 10th place overall trophy in the teen clog age division. The group qualified for national finals held in June at the Branson Convention Center in Branson, Mo., where the team won top honors with a high second trophy in the teenage small group clog division. Tootsie Roll dancers are: Tessie Johnson, daughter of Mike and Nancy Johnson; Danielle Murphy, daughter of Danny and Mandy Murphy; Jensen Martin, daughter of Lori Martin. Not pictured: Duan Morris, son of Lenette Gunn.
