School invites candidates to pie auction

Tony Goetz Elementary will host a Pie Auction and Meet and Greet the candidates at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Tony Goetz cafeteria.
The school is promoting literacy with the upcoming opening of the expanded library from the bond issue that was passed last year. All funds raised will go toward Tony Goetz Accelerated Reading Program.
You will have the opportunity to meet your favorite candidates before the election and bid on some great sweet treats, too.
These are the candidates that have committed to attending or are sending a representative from their campaign:
Eugene Blankenship running for Oklahoma House District 14 will be attending.
State Rep. George Faught, R-Muskogee.
U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., is sending a representative.
U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., is sending a representative.
U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., is sending Ben Robinson, his chief of staff.
State Sen. Earl Garrison, D-Muskogee, is sending a representative.
County Commissioner Gene Wallace.
State Rep. Jerry McPeak, D-Warner.
Karen Anderson, county clerk will be attending
Paula Sexton, county clerk will be attending
Glen Scott, county treasurer will be attending
State Sen. Andrew Rice, D-Oklahoma City, candidate for U.S. Senate is sending a representative.
