Muskogee County Democrat Party
Muskogee County Democrat Party will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Grant Foreman Room at Muskogee Public Library, according to Barbara Staggs, county chairperson. Reports will be presented by the treasurer and the secretary.
The program also will include talks from each of the legislators and those running for office. Reports will be given by those who have conducted voter registrations.
Plans will be made for a watch party and a fundraiser. Those who have been working at the headquarters and at the fair booth will be recognized. Drinks will be provided. Those who attend should bring cookies.
Women of Grace
The Women of Grace Episcopal Church will meet today in the Parish Hall, 218 N. Sixth St.
Person to Person Group will meet at 11 a.m., according to Rosemary Ryan, chairperson.
The Women of Grace will meet at 11:30 a.m. for a brief business meeting including a discussion of the budget for the fiscal year, and the various outreach projects, as presented by Dorothy Fite, coordinator.
The Rev. Jenny Pratt will be a special guest, and will present the devotional.
Luncheon will follow.
New Friends
New Friends Salad Luncheon, hosted by Kathleen Smith, will be at noon Wednesday at 2500 E. Coburn Circle. Bring a covered dish. Reservations are required. Call Verna Green, 683-6431 or Catherine Bruton, 687-9757. To cancel call Smith, 682-9661.
Tenkiller Women’s Club
Tenkiller Women’s Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Restaurant of the Cherokees for a luncheon.
The program will be on yoga. Gail Payne will speak. Cost for the buffet is $10.
Reservations may be made by calling Pat Sharp, 457-4419.
Area women are invited to attend.
Muskogee Garden Club
Muskogee Garden Club will meet Thursday at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Social time and refreshments are at 9:30 a.m. The meeting begins at 9:45 a.m.
Jay Ross, horticulture curator of the Tulsa Zoo and vice president of the Association of Zoological Horticulture, will give a power a point presentation with slides entitled “Who Knew, Plants at the Zoo.”
Hostess will be Margene Allen, Esther Hunter, Jo Hjelm and Clara Sheffield.
Anyone interested in gardening is welcome to visit.

Muskogee County Retired Educators
Chad Smith, chief of the Cherokee Nation, will be the guest speaker when Muskogee County Retired Educators meet at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the downtown Connors State College campus.
South Bethel Cemetery Association
The South Bethel Cemetery Association will have its bi-annual meeting 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel at the cemetery in Braggs. Everyone welcome.
