Keystone Study Club
Keystone Study Club will meet Monday in the home of Mary Hoopes with Martha Tuteral giving the program.

Current events will be given by Ann Kuykendall, Jane Lopes and Barbara Newell.


Green Country Duplicate Bridge Club
Three sanctioned duplicate bridge games are offered by Green Country Duplicate Bridge Club each week at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers are welcome at all games.

Schedule for this week:
• Monday, 12:30 p.m.: Open game.
• Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.: Game restricted to players with fewer than 300 master point
• Friday, 12:30 p.m.: Open game.

Recent game winners:
• Oct. 27: Jean Mahan and Ralph Jones tied with Sandra Cole and Santa McWilliams for first/second; Carol Ketchum and Joan Chapman, third.
• Oct. 29: North/South, Norma Kolmer and Jack Harris, first; Bill and Nettie Kaad, second; Jean Mahan and Ann Kent, third; East/West, Joe and Helen Richmond, first; Flo DeBartolo and Bill Porter, second; Troy and Wilma LaFevers, third.
• Oct. 31: Ruth Sharpe and Ann Kent, first; Mary Smith and Jack Harris, second; Joe O’Quinn and Pat Smaby, third.

Green Country Bridge Club hosted a sectional bridge tournament on Nov. 1 and 2. There were 34 tables in play in pair games in two Saturday sessions. On Sunday, more than 100 players competed in Swiss team competition.

Players from various Oklahoma clubs and surrounding states competed.

Local players who won silver points in the tournament were: Jane Lopes, Betty Jordan, Mary Smith, Ralph Parker, Carol Ketchum, Joan Chapman, Fran Martin, Flo DeBartolo, Dave Murdock, Sandra Cole, Santa McWilliams, Velma Sweet, Helen Dahl, Renee Tyrrell, George Blaylock, Glen Sizemore, Jack Harris., Bonnie Jennings, Ann Kent.


Beta Sigma Phi
Omicron Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met in the home of Dolores Seward for the November meeting.

Guest speaker was Paulette Lorsbach, representing Toastmasters International. Her presentation was entitled “The Continuing Saga of the Perils of Paulette,” which were actual accounts of episodes she has encountered during her lifetime. It was comical and entertaining.

President Pat Miller called the meeting to order with the opening ritual. Secretary Charlotte Watkins called the roll and read the minutes of the last meeting. The minutes were approved as read. The treasurer’s report was received from Laura Roets.

A suggestion was made to change our meeting time from 7 to 6 p.m. This was approved by members present. Miller announced that the chapter had received a three-star rating for 2007.

Members who have birthdays in November received gifts from their secret sisters.

The November social will be in the home of Debbie Schrader on at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20 for a “Poor Man’s Supper” and a jewelry party.

The meeting was adjourned with the closing ritual.

The December meeting and Christmas party will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at I’m a Basket Case. Secret sisters will exchange Christmas gifts. The communications chairperson will contact each member with further information or any changes.


New Friends
Muskogee New Friends Happy Quilters will meet at noon Monday in the home of Virginia Garrison, 3615 Jeannie Lane. Bring a sandwich and a project. Call Garrison at 686-6277 for reservations.

There will be a general meeting of New Friends at 9:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Community Center, Eighth and Boston streets, for goodies and socializing. The meeting will be at 9:50 a.m.

Susan Surber of Solara Healthcare will present the program.
