Auditions slated for ‘Streetcar’

Muskogee Little Theatre will hold auditions for its February drama “A Streetcar Named Desire” at 7 p.m. tonight and Monday at the theatre, 325 Cincinnati St.

Auditions will consist of reads/monologues from the script. Auditioners can download selected scenes and sides from the script at the MLT website ( by clicking on “Auditions” from the main menu.

The cast consists of six men and six women. Dates of the production are Feb. 7-15 and will be directed by Lisa Wilson of Tulsa.

Playwright Tennessee Williams received a Pultizer Prize for his masterpiece, a tragic and effective drama which ranks as one of the greatest in theater, according to a media release.

The show is presented with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council.
