Auditions for MLT's 'Streetcar Named Desire' next week

Muskogee Little Theatre will have auditions for its February drama, “A Streetcar Named Desire,” at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theatre, 325 Cincinnati St.

Auditions will consist of reads/monologues from the script. Auditioners can download selected scenes and sides from the script at the MLT website ( by clicking on “Auditions” from the main menu.

The cast consists of six men and six women. The production is scheduled for Feb. 7-15 and will be directed by Lisa Wilson of Tulsa.

The play was written by Tennessee Williams, who received a Pultizer Prize for his masterpiece, a tragic and effective drama that ranks as one of the greatest in theater, according to a media release.

The show is presented with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council.
