See ‘Kiss Me Kate’ on Friday

— Tahlequah Community Playhouse Inc. has finalized the cast, crew and orchestra members for its upcoming dinner theater production of the Cole Porter Musical, “Kiss Me Kate,” based on a book by Bella and Samuel Spewack combining Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” with Porter’s music and lyrics.

This is a play within a play, where each cast member’s onstage life is complicated by what is happening offstage.

This season’s opening production is directed by Rachel Farineli and Danny Perry with Kriss Harris as musical director and Michelle Widener as producer.

The musical runs Friday and Sunday and Oct. 1 to 3 at the Armory Municipal Center Auditorium, 100 N. Water St., Tahlequah.

Reservations for opening weekend must be made by today.

Reservations forms can be printed at www.tcpok.com or picked up from the Tahlequah Chamber of Commerce, A Cowboy Rose or Morris-Cragar Florists.
