WAGONER — The Canebrake recently announced a yoga partnership with the Oklahoma School for the Blind.
A grant received from the Lawton Lion’s Club, enabled the students to partake in yoga. The Lawton Lion’s Club grant enabled Lisa Bracken, the resident Yogini of The Canebrake, to provide a free circuit of yoga classes to Oklahoma School for the Blind students.
The class attendees of 16 high school students, both boys and girls included a wide regimen of yoga training and mind/body/spirit exercises.
“We are honored to have been able to provide this service to the OSB students,” Bracken said in a media release. “The benefits of yoga span across all walks of life and do not exclude those with disabilities. Many of these students may have never had the opportunity or option to attend a Yoga class and we are so grateful to have been able to share this experience with them.”
The Canebrake offers regular Yoga classes in addition to its lodging, dining and spa offerings
