Muskogee Public Library announces adult summer reading program
“Groundbreaking Reads” is the theme of Muskogee Public Library’s 2013 Adult Summer Reading Program. Explore not only groundbreaking books but underground music and movements such as prohibition and the resistance movements of WWII. Dig into other underground phenomena and activities like composting, caving, and archaeology.
The 2013 Summer Reading Program is open to adults ages 18 and older, with programs, prizes, book discussions, and special events. The adult program will run concurrently with the children’s program, Dig into Reading.
This year’s program will also be highlighted with the “Based on the Book” Club, a Skype conversation with best-selling author Kevin Hearne, the annual Murder Mystery Dinner, and more. The fun begins with the kick-off party at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Registration has already begun. All programs are free.
