A Veterans Job Club meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Muskogee Workforce Center, 717 S. 32nd St.

Job Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month. The primary focus of the meeting is to provide a face-to-face information, sharing opportunity between unemployed veterans and local business owners and/or hiring officials who are currently seeking Veterans to hire into their current vacancies. The guest speakers are not only looking for current employees, but they also provide veterans information specific to their process for application formats, qualification and skill requirements and desired resume formats so they can be better prepared for future job opportunities with that business or company.

Secondary to obtaining employment veterans, it is a format for veterans to get together and discuss a wide variety of topics such as building a resume, how to dress for success, improving  interviewing skills and veteran benefits and education opportunities, all directed to the main goal of gainful, meaningful employment for veterans.
