Taylor named as National American finalist

— Payton Bryce Taylor, 13, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Oklahoma Pageant to be held June 28 at the Embassy Suites, Norman.

The National American Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4 through 18, and have five different age divisions.

Payton will be participating in the pre-teen age division, along with other girls from Oklahoma.

Payton’s activities include: Muay Thai kickboxing and Taekwondo. She is a Junior Dragon assistant trainee at the Dragonfly Dojo in Muskogee. She also enjoys playing softball, and she is on the basketball team at Porter Schools.

She sings solo specials at her church, loves science and art.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant in California where she will receive a complimentary tour of Hollywood and two VIP tickets to Disneyland. Information:
