MLT youth camp enrolls Saturday

Muskogee Little Theatre will hold enrollment for 2014 Summer Youth Theatre Camp at 10 a.m. Saturday until noon or until camp is full.

Enrollment will take place at MLT front office. Mailed forms will not be accepted. Camp enrollment forms, as well as scholarship forms, can be downloaded at www.muskogeelittletheatre.com (click on Education). A deposit of $120 will be required at enrollment for non-scholarship applicants. If applying for a scholarship, scholarship applications should be attached to the enrollment forms.

MLT Summer Youth Theatre Camp runs from 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday throughout June. The camp culminates with the camp students’ production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” With several great roles for both boys and girls, as well as a few that can be played by either, this show, which features the hit songs “Part of Your World,” “She’s in Love,” and Oscar-winning “Under the Sea,” is sure a surefire crowd-pleaser. Camp students will learn the process of a theatrical production including the audition process, stage direction, vocals, choreography, set and costume construction, stage make-up, stage management and crew, sound and lights, special effects, and cross-curricular activities. Enrolled campers only will be cast and involved with the production.

Camp dates are June 2 to 27. Show dates are June 26 to 29. Campers must be between the ages of 6 and 14. Camp is held at MLT, Cincinnati and D streets. Tuition for the cam is $240. Partial and full scholarships are available.

MLT provides a safe, educational experience; a structured daily schedule; qualified, experienced instructors; all materials and supplies; daily snacks; camp T-shirts.
