For the fourth month, the Muskogee Patriot Townhall will sponsor a guest speaker when State Rep. Dan Fisher, R-El Reno, comes to town.
Fisher will speak at the next meeting, which is 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Thursday at the Muskogee Public Library.
Fisher will present two topics — “States’ Rights” and “The Black Robe Regiment.” Fisher has represented District 60 in the Oklahoma Legislature since 2012. Since 1992, he is also the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon. His passion is to communicate God’s truth to this culture of “political correctness” in order to help to return America back to its Founders’ Christian intentions, according to a media release. He is a published author and will bring his newest book with him to make available to those in the audience.
His presentations are illustrated with colonial period costumes and power points that reinforce our American Christian heritage. As a Revolutionary period clergyman, “The Black Robed Regiment” comes to life as he wears the costume of a Revolutionary War officer leading his militia military congregants at the close of the morning worship service of that time, according to a media release.
