Dancers take high score at national competition

Lisa Logan, owner/director of Show Biz Dance Studio in Muskogee, recently announced the achievements of one of her groups taught and choreographed by dance instructor Tabytha Russell.

The trio clog dance group known as, “Life Is A Highway” competed at Talent On Parade Regional Dance Competition Finals at The Performing Arts Center in Fort Smith, Ark., in May. At that competition the trio group was honored with the Top Trophy in the 8 And Under Clog Category Division.

The group qualified for national finals, which were held in June at the Tulsa Convention Center.

At the national level with more than 1,300 acts competing, the group won top honors with a Top Trophy in the 8 And Under Clog Category.

In the previous year, the group has attended regional and nationals with Stage One Dance Competition and received 1st place and overalls in tap, jazz, lyrical ballet and musical theatre.
