Production line wins big at nationals

Lisa Logan, owner/director of Show Biz Dance Studio in Muskogee, recently announced the achievements of one of her groups taught and choreographed by Lisa Logan, Laura Hazen, Tabytha Russell and Brashille Rhodes.

The 20-member group competed in the production/line category to the song “Time Warp” from the movie musical “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at Talent On Parade Regional Dance Competition at The Performing Arts Center in Fort Smith, Ark., in May.

The group were honored with following awards:

• Intermediate Elite Trophy in the Jr.-Teen Production/Line Division.

• 2nd Place award in the Top 10 Overall High Points Performance Jr.-Teen Age Division.

The goup qualified for national finals, which were held in June at the Tulsa Convention Center.

At the national level with more than 1,300 acts competing, the group won  an Intermediate Elite Trophy in the Jr.-Teen Age Division.

They were also honored with the Spotlight Special Judges Choice Award.

In previous years, the group attended regional and national finals with Stage One Dance Competition, Odyssey Dance Competition and Rainbow Dance Competition and won high 1st and overalls in tap, jazz, lyrical ballet, musical theatre, clog and hip hop.
