Green Country Duplicate Bridge

Green Country Duplicate bridge meets at 12:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers are welcome. If interested in playing or learning to play duplicate bridge contact Ann Kent at (918) 682-3098, Mary Smith at (918) 682-2605, or Sandy Cole at (918) 684-9002.

Recent winners are:

• Nov. 26 — Dave Murdock and Fran Martin, first; Bonnie Jennings and Ruth Sharpe, second; and Betty Jordan and Bill Porter tied with Norma Kolmer and Linda Stearnes for third.

• Nov. 28 — Sandra Cole and Santa McWilliams, first; and Renee Tyrrell and Bill Porter tied with Mary Hoover and Minnie Sheffield for second.

• Nov. 30 — Ruth Sharpe and Bonnie Jennings, first; Dave Murdock and Fran Martin, second; and Norma Kolmer and Linda Stearnes, third.

• Dec. 3 — Mary Beyers and Werner Wagner, first; Ann Kent and Jane Lopes, second; and Norma Kolmer and Dave Murdock, third.

The club will have its Christmas party at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Please call Ann Kent, Mary Smith or Sandy Cole if you plan to attend.

Alpha Theta

Alpha Theta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the home of Joan Eaton for its annual Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Members are reminded to bring a dish for the dinner, secret sister gifts, and non-perishable items for the local food pantry.

Discussions will be held on gifts given to students the chapter sponsors at Oklahoma School for the Blind. A report will be given on the volunteer work during the Muskogee Christmas Home Tour benefiting the District V project Kelly B. Todd and the concession stand work during the Arts and Crafts Show with proceeds for chapter philanthropic projects.

St. Joseph Seniors

St. Joseph Seniors will meet Thursday. The event is open to all members of St. Joseph Church 50 and up. Guests are welcome to attend.

A communion service will be at 12:10 p.m. in the Marian Chapel followed by a Christmas party luncheon in the church commons. Hostesses are Joan and Jim Pierret, Al and Roxie Flusche, and Jan and Bill Bradley. Those attending are asked to bring a special Christmas treat or finger foods dish for the luncheon.

There will be a party game and gift exchange. To participate, bring a $5 present wrapped or in a bag for the activity.

St. Joseph School students will provide a Christmas musical program directed by Marsha Thompson.
