Keystone Study Club
Keystone Study Club will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at McIntees with Martha Tuteral as hostess. The program will be presented by Nancy Wilkinson with current events by Pat Acebo, Nancy Wilkinson and Carole Cole.
Muskogee Garden Club
The Muskogee Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the gymnasium of St. Paul United Methodist Church for its annual Christmas brunch. Hostesses for the meeting are the club officers. Entertainment will be provided by a well-known special visitor.
Members are asked to bring unwrapped, new items — toys for children, or gifts for nursing home residents — for giving to the Salvation Army Angel Tree project.
Gardens are still needed for the June 2013 Muskogee Garden Club Tour. Anyone interested in submitting their or a friend’s garden can contact Marilyn Hinshaw at (918) 682-3601.

Soroptimist International of Muskogee will be taking applications for the annual Violet Richardson Award until Dec. 20. The Violet Richardson Award is a $500 award given to recognize a female aged 14-17 for her volunteer service in the community or schools whose activities make the community a better place.
The heart of the Soroptimist mission is in making a difference for women and girls in the local communities and throughout the world. As part of that mission, the local chapter supports and encourages volunteer work by young women.

Soroptimist International of Muskogee presents the award which consists of $1,000 to assist a female head of household who is starting or continuing her education.
The Women’s Opportunity Award is part of the Soroptimist mission to make a difference for women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. The name “Soroptimist” comes from two Latin words which mean, “best for women”.
The application deadline for the Women’s Opportunity Award is Jan. 15.
Tenkiller Women’s Club
The December meeting of Tenkiller Women’s Club will be held at noon Dec. 19 at the Hen House at Chicken Creek on Lake Tenkiller. The program will be presented by Donita Armstrong who will demonstrate scrapbooking ideas and easy gifts. The menu will be a salad/dessert pot luck. Those attending will bring food according to last names: A-K bring desserts and L-Z bring salads. Be sure to bring the recipe for each dish. All ladies are invited to attend.
