Retired People of Color

The Oklahoma Multi Cultural Association is asking for volunteer men and women to serve as board members. This 501(c)3 association is solely a voluntary social organization. Call (918) 310-4189 and or leave a message. Their goal is to eradicate racism and sexism starting in our community. Membership is $20 per year.

Alpha Theta

Chapter #1038

Alpha Theta Chapter #1038 of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority installed new officers for the 2014-2015 year. Sandy Lackey, President; Elise Jimison, Vice-president; Thelma Lackey, Secretary; Peggy Pate, Treasurer; Marla Tyndall, Educational Director; and Maggie Sellers, Parliamentarian (Joan Eaton stood in for Maggie Sellers). These ladies were installed by member Billye Lackey.

Bridge Club

Winners for Green Country Duplicate Bridge on June 11 were Sandra Cole and Santa McWilliams first and Marialice Davis and Grace Sweeney second. June 13 Mary Smith and Ralph Parker were first, Joan Chapman and Carol Ketchum second, Linda Stearns and Norma Kolmer third. Ann Kent and Jane Lopes were first on June 16, Mary Smith and Renee Tyrrell tied with Ralph Parker and Fran Martin for second place. The club meet at 12:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Drive.

On August 11 the club will sponsor a pizza party for all bridge players who are interested in playing. It will be a charity game. More details to follow in subsequent weeks. New Friends Club

11:30 a.m. Friday, Cowboys buffer for lunch games. Reservations required by Wednesday, must cancel by Thursday or you will be charged for lunch. July 4, No Board of Directors meeting.

New members were welcomed at the June meeting of Muskogee New Friends.

 Annual membership dues are $20 and payable at the July 11 meeting.
