Love Outreach sets program

Love Outreach is an opportunity to build relationships with members of Muskogee’s homeless and less fortunate community, according to a media release.

The organization will have an outreach program at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gospel Rescue Mission.

The outreach is sponsored by members of the local Churches of Christ.

The volunteers serve in many different areas, the release states.

The organization offers a hot meal, essentials such as soap, deodorant, first aid, etc., clothing, foot washing, and a kids’ corner.

Some of the volunteers are specifically there to have dinner with guests and talk to them and make them feel at home.

Items need include:

• Toiletries — soaps, deodorant (men and women), toothpaste, tooth brush, maxi pads, tampons, first aid kits, shampoo.

• Socks, shoes, men’s and women’s clothing.

• Bibles, magazines and children’s books.

If interested in volunteering or donating contact, Pam at (918) 360-1308 or Shayla at (918) 360-1466.
