Frankenstein tickets on sale

Muskogee Little Theatre announced that advance tickets are on sale for its spring musical comedy, “Young Frankenstein,” a musical by Mel Brooks.

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation “The Producers” comes this monster new musical comedy. A wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend based on Mel Brooks’ classic comedy masterpiece, the story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather’s masterwork and bring a corpse to life, according to a media release. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper, Igor (that’s Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant, Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiancee Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster — but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications. With such memorable tunes as “The Translyvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend,” and “Puttin on the Ritz,” the show is scientifically-proven, monstrously good entertainment.

Advance tickets are available at Soundworld, 123 E. Okmulgee Ave., (918) 683-4901. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for students. Production dates are April 4-12 and curtain is 8 p.m., except Sunday at 2 p.m.
