Fort Gibson Genealogy and Historical Society

The Fort Gibson Genealogy and Historical Society will have the April meeting on April 7. Members are asked to meet at the United Methodist Church at 5:45 p.m. and caravan to Fort Gibson Intermediate Elementary building for a presentation of an enrichment class about Fort Gibson by Kelley Cooks's class. Please come and see what the class has learned about genealogy. Information: Marcia Elliott at (918) 478-3345.

Muskogee Civitan Club

The Muskogee Civitan Club will meet at noon Tuesday at the Civitan Clubhouse. The speaker will be Ann Livingston, area director for the healthcare district. A garage sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4 and 5 at Civitan Park. Proceeds from the sale are going to purchase canopies for the playground equipment. Items can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1, 2 and 3 at Civitan Park.

NABVETS

The National Association of Black Veterans will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Martin Luther King Center, 627 N. Third. The meeting will focus on reorganization and solicitation of members. All black veterans are urged to attend as we are needing your input.

New Century Club

The New Century Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the home of Linda Foster. Suzanne Jobe will review “Joseph Anton: A Memoir” by Salman Rushdie. Hostesses will be Linda Foster and Dorothy Bliss.
