— Tenkiller Women’s Club

The Tenkiller Women’s Club will hold its April meeting at noon on April 17 at the Princess Restaurant in Flintridge. The program will be presented by Nancy and Steve Tharp. They will present a slide show of their river cruise through Europe. Attendees will order from the restaurant menu.

Reservations must be made by April 15th by calling Glenda Greene at (918) 316-8804 or Barb Downard at (918) 457-3439. All women are invited to attend and, if desired, become members.

Members are reminded to bring non-perishable items for the Baptist Food Pantry.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha

Alpha Theta Chapter 1038 of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the home of Wanda Martin. Agenda items include finalizing plans for the 2013-14 installation of chapter officers, attending the Oklahoma State Convention “ESA Treasures of the Sea” in Norman April 26-28, and working at the St. Jude Dream Home.

Members are reminded to bring non-perishable food items for the local food pantry.

ABATE

Three Rivers Abate is sponsoring a free motorcycle inspection from 8 a.m. to noon April 20. Riding season is here, so get your motorcycle inspected for free. Inspection will be in the Homeland parking lot on the corner of U.S. 69 and Okmulgee Avenue.

PEO

Chapter 13 of PEO will meet on April 23 at Sarah Coburn-Rothemel’s home. Sarah will give a musial program. We will caravan together and meet at the McDonald’s on the turnpike at 10 a.m.

Muskogee County Historical Society

The Muskogee County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Golden Corral, 423 W. Shawnee. Members are responsible for their own lunch.

Kim Jones, deputy director and curator of the Tulsa Air & Aviation Museum, will provide the program. Jones will speak about the history of aviation in Oklahoma with the use of a Power Point presentation. He also has some new information on the important role Hatbox Field played in developing aviation in Oklahoma.

Officers for 2013 were elected at the February meeting: Ellen “Cowboy” Johnson, president; Uiva Tubbs, vice president; Sue Smith, secretary; and Mary Downing, treasurer.
