Music scholar to perform Sunday

The 2013 recipient of the Musical Arts Society scholarship, Christian Campbell, will present a free program at 3 p.m. Sunday in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Parlor. The Muskogee Area Arts Council also provided funding for the scholarship.

Campbell, from Checotah, is a senior at East Central University in Ada majoring in music education. She is a clarinetist and a student of Dr. Lauren J. Cox. Her campus involvements include: ECU chapter of National Association for Music Educators; Alpha Chi; ECU Marching Band and Wind Ensemble; and the band service fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi.

Muskogee Musical Arts Society will have a reception following the recital.
