Biggs celebrates 100 years

— Katherine Biggs will celebrate a special birthday on Easter Sunday this year. She was honored on Saturday with a party at Miss Addie’s to celebrate her 100th birthday. With her family and dozens of friends in attendance, Biggs received birthday greetings from several presidents, the governor, national and state senators and was presented the key to the city by Mayor Bob Coburn.

Biggs is an active member of First Baptist Church of Muskogee, a former “Okie from Muskogee,” an Eastern Star, former FBC Muskogee librarian and a retiree of the Veteran’s Administration.

Biggs has three sons, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild set to arrive in May.
