The Kiwanis Kickers are in great need of additional members. This group practices on Thursday mornings from 9 to10 a.m. except on the 3rd Thursday when they start off with a meeting at 11 a.m. then practice from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This group is dedicated to perform at nursing homes and assistant living homes on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Green Country Duplicate Bridge
Green Country Duplicate Bridge meets at 12:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers are welcome. Muskogee Diabetes Support
The Muskogee Diabetes support group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Muskogee Public Library in the southeast room. Please join us.

The monthly meeting of SCORE will be held at 10 a.m. on April 11 at the Sun Oil Building, 907 S. Detroit St., Ste. 1001. Guests are welcome. Information: (918) 581-7462.
Toastmasters speak in local meetings and participate in area contests. Virgil Rose participated in the Area T2 & T3 International Speech Contest last week in Tulsa. Virgil participated as a speech contestant, but area contests also offer opportunities to participate as judges.
Toastmasters meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Three Rivers Museum, 220 Elgin. The next meeting is Tuesday.
On April 16, Toastmasters will have a “meet and greet” during our regular meeting to encourage new members. Wine and cheese will be served.
Books Sandwiched In
The Friends of the Jim Lucas Checotah Public Library will celebrate National Poetry Month at Books Sandwiched In on April 10. Freelance scholar and published poet Jennifer Kidney will be the featured guest. Author of six books, Kidney has been twice nominated for Oklahoma Poet Laureate. Her newest book is “Road Work Ahead.”
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. by Checotah Landmark Preservation Society and will cost $3.
Delta Sigma Theta
The Ladies of the Muskogee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated are hosting our annual salad luncheon from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 14 at the Muscogee Indian Community Center, 335 N. Fourth St. The public is invited for lunch and silent auction of numerous items. Tickets available at the door.
The next chapter meeting will be at 2 p.m. April 13 at the MIC.
New Century Club
New Century Club will meet at the home of Carole Elliott at 1 p.m. Thursday. Dorothy Bliss will review the book “Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman” by Robert Massie.
