The Vintage Wildflowers, a trio with a unique twist on Celtic music, will present a program at 7 p.m. Saturday at Three Rivers Museum. It is the group’s third appearance in Muskogee.
The intimate setting of the museum is the perfect place for the performance, Three Rivers Museum Director Sue Tolbert said. But it also means tickets are limited.
Tickets are $10 per person and space is limited. Purchase tickets by calling (918) 686-6624 or at www.3riversmuseum.com.
Acclaimed for their instrumental prowess, onstage charm and soulful vocals, Vintage Wildflowers has developed an enthusiastic legion of fans with their vibrant Celtic, folk and bluegrass blend, according to a media release. Their music reflects the lives and backgrounds of the three women, melding the trio’s wide-ranging musical interests with their Celtic music obsession. The trio debuted with a sold-out performance at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center’s 2009 Summerstage Festival; their performance in 2010 at the University of Tulsa’s Concerts with Commentary series featured a standing-room-only crowd that overflowed the concert hall into the lobby and hallways of the building. Equally at home before sold-out festival crowds and coffeehouse audiences, Vintage Wildflowers has performed everywhere from the North Texas Irish Festival in Dallas to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.
