MLT selling tickets for 'It's a Wonderful Life'

Tickets for Muskogee Little Theatre’s holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” are on sale.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, and group rates are available. Tickets can be purchased at Soundworld, 123 E. Okmulgee Ave., or by calling (918) 683-4901.

Production dates are Dec. 6-8 and 12-14. Curtain time is 8 p.m., except for a 2 p.m. matinee Dec. 8.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is the saga of George Bailey, the everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. Hi guardian angel has to descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him — by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born — that his has been, after all, a wonderful life.

This faithful adaptation has all your favorite characters: George and Mary Hatch, Clarence, Uncle Billy, Violet, and, of course, the Scrooge-like villain, Mr. Potter.

The drama not only celebrates the faith of the season, it also celebrates the American philosophy of life: hard work, fair play and the love and support of one’s family and community will be rewarded, according to a media release.

MLT’s production features more than 30 local artists and is sponsored by Armstrong Bank and presented with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council.
